ROLLING THUNDER HEALING RITUAL for OBERON...

This is a call for Healing Magick!

On Wednesday, August 13th, we were made aware that Oberon Zell, co-Founder, Elder, Primate, and first Priest of CAW, recently underwent a colonoscopy. The result of the initial procedure was not what we had hoped for and expected. The doctors have found a golf-ball sized growth attached to the colon, which has been biopsied. On Thursday, August 14th, OZ had a meeting with his doctor, to discuss the results of the biopsy they did on the golf ball-sized tumor (lesion) they discovered. The Dr. advised them that the tumor is indeed cancerous, and colon cancer is aggressive and nasty. However, it is far enough up that it can be surgically removed along with about a foot of the descending colon (left side). He said that it appears to be less than a year old, so the chances of a complete removal of all cancerous tissue are excellent.

There is concern that some of the cancer cells may have migrated into OZ's lymph nodes, which would be a really serious problem, requiring radiation and chemotherapy. To help determine whether or not this may be the case, they took a few vials of blood for testing, and on Friday, August 15th OZ was scheduled for a CAT scan. The results of the blood work and the CAT scan are due on Thursday, August 21st, when OZ has an appointment with an abdominal surgeon to discuss upcoming surgery—which will be scheduled as soon as possible.

The best things about all this so far are that he caught this early enough that it should be completely operable; and at the same time, they’ll be able to repair an abdominal hernia which has been plaguing OZ for many years (perhaps a tummy-tuck as well).

However, the Dr also emphasized the importance of prayers and healing energy. Right now, to shrink and contain the tumor as much as possible, so that none of the cancer gets out into surrounding tissue or lymph nodes between now and the surgery. After OZ gets the results of the CAT scan and blood work, we'll try and update the site to let you know the status going into surgery. Then he’ll need all the healing energy he can get on the actual day of the surgery to ensure that everything goes perfectly.

ROLLING THUNDER ANNOUNCED

For those who aren't on the Morning Glory Healing group, which was begun to facilitate healing when MG was diagnosed with cancer, we have a tradition that Aidan Odinson introduced us to which we had been doing for MG very successfully called the "Rolling Thunder" ritual. I've snipped his introduction from the original post below:

But there is one more thing to be offered, and it is something we consider unique to Temple of Gaia. It is a special type of ritual we call "Rolling Thunder". A date and time is set, and at that time (the local time for each member), each member does a ritual (alone or with others in their own way) for what the ritual is about. Because we have members all over the globe, the energies raise over quite a period of time. It's known to be quite effective."

We had these going every full and new moon for MG, and feel that this practice had a significant impact on her recovery. We sort of fell of doing them when she got so much better.

So, tonight, Saturday, August 16th is the full moon, and I know that many of you will be doing ritual for OZ anyway, and I'd like to see us return to this tradition, so I'm calling a Rolling Thunder for Oberon to begin at 9 PM tomorrow night. That's always local time, and that's for Saturday, August 16th. For those across the international dateline, for whom it is already Saturday, or if it's more convenient to pick it up when it rolls across to Sunday, August 17th, that's fine as well. Generally we continue the roll for at least 48 hours, to accommodate people who hear about the roll late, and just to keep pushing the energy and accelerating the wave.

So, if you can, join us in a Rolling Thunder ritual beginning at 9 PM Saturday locally and continuing to roll around the globe through Sunday.

The Church of All Worlds (CAW) is one of the oldest incorporated Neo-Pagan churches in the United States. Among its members are people of various faiths, including the Abrahamic traditions. We are currently undergoing an "Extreme Makeover", so please excuse the mess. We're in the process of converting the site from a relatively simple web site, to one which is fully interactive, with forums, files areas and automated functions. So please bear with us. We know you'll be excited when it's all complete.

In the meantime, feel free to explore the site. Currently the only thing up on the site is our Hot Tub, our forums. All guests can read the forums, but you must register to post. Registration is free, and there is no obligation involved. We consider registered members our "First Circle" of membership. The purpose of First Circle is to establish personal contact, so anyone who has been to any of our events, participates on any of our email lists/groups, participates in our forums, or attends any of our classes, is automatically considered to be in First Circle. This is our larger community, of which only a portion are actual members and where everyone seeking to learn more about us is welcomed.

While registration is not necessary, if do you choose to register, please be aware that we use our Magickal Names as our User Names, so that we can recognize each other on the forums. Our system will not accept spaces in your user name, so if your Magickal Name contains spaces, we recommend that you use InterCaps, or that you separate the Magickal.Name with dots. You may also use underscores in your Magickal_Name, but we request that you do not use dashes, or special characters. And unless you're magickal name actually contains numbers, please don't include those. If you have a common magickal name, such as Greenman, Phoenix or Cat, you may want to include a last name, so that we can differentiate you from the other Greenmen, Phoenixes and Cats in the CAW tribe.
